TNTT is a note-taking application that is aimed at students for use in lectures. It makes use of the Cornell note-taking method, which is made up of the following stages record, reduce, recite, reflect, review, and recapitulate. Using this method, it enables students to make better use of their time by enabling better note organisation and maximise their potential by guiding them through their studies.
Recording is carried out using the outline method, this is because of the ease by which the data can be extrapolated for later stages in the Cornell method. Other methods maybe available in future releases.
The application has been written in Java and SWT so is available on most modern platforms, including Mac OS X 10.4, Windows XP and Linux. Originally, it was developed as a University project in fulfilment of a Masters degree in Engineering and was then released under the GPL as a Sourceforge project. The first release under the GPL was 1.0 alpha 1.
